Business Process Alignment

  • Many local business processes will change significantly with UCPath implementation.
  • This local workstream identifies both systemwide and local changes and their impacts and realigns processes and roles for UCPath operations.
  • This is likely to be one of the most difficult and time-consuming workstreams of the project, involving many department SMEs.
  • The level of effort is directly proportional to the number of SMEs involved, the speed of local decision making and the degree of centralization of HR and payroll functions.

Organizational Change Management

Lead: Randa Wilbur

Effective change management includes the following:

  • Identifying change to people, processes and technology between the current and desired future state
  • Identifying and anticipating people-related risks and concerns in moving from current to future state
  • Addressing organization and cultural issues that may impact successful transition
  • Delivering targeted communication, training and support for people at all levels
  • Creating and executing a process and approach to manage change throughout the organization

  • PeopleSoft ePerformance is a self-service evaluation management application for managers, employees and human resources administrators.
  • ePerformance can be used as a tool for planning, collaboration, communication, assessment, as well as monitoring evaluations, performance, and development.
    • In scope for UCSF, UCSFMC, UCI, UCIMC, UCD, UCDMC, UCB.

Talent Aquisition Manager

  • Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) is an integrated module that will enable the organization to manage workforce recruiting and employment.
  • It provides functionality for creating and managing job openings, entering and managing applicant information and job postings.
  • TAM has the ability to screen and route applicants as well as the ability to manage interviews and employment offers.
    • In scope for UCSF, UCSFMC, UCI, UCIMC, UCD, UCDMC, UCB.


Lead: Ann Foley

  • Dedicated training lead and team of key training stakeholders for planning and deployment of end-user training
  • Each location will be responsible for managing its location specific roll-out strategy, training schedules and course enrollments and will identify the appropriate audiences for each course. Locations are also responsible for the design and delivery of training on their local business processes.
  • Additional resource needs may include:
    • Training Coordinator: Responsible for course scheduling, tracking, lab set-up, deployment of training communication
    • Trainer(s): PeopleSoft and HR, Benefits, or Payroll Training
    • Instructional Designer: For the design of training for local business processes
    • Online Learning Developer: If the location will be delivering local training content over the web
    • Technical Support: For webinars and computer labs
    • UCPath Faculty Mentors: Responsible for working with faculty (may include training, coaching, answering questions, issue resolution)
