Project Benefits
Accurate department / sub-division / division / school roll up for both campus and health
Remove custom coding in UCDavis Cognos that groups data differently than how data is set up in UCPath
Provide the ability in Cognos to filter by School / Division, Sub-Division and Department
Implement an updated process with appropriate oversight / approvals for future changes to the UCPath (department, sub-division, school/division data)
Identify an owner for each School / Division for future updates / oversight
Document the downstream impacts of realignments (changes in the department roll up)
What's Changing
Cognos will have an additional field for data selection. The current state includes Business Unit, School/Division, and Department. In the future state there will be a fourth selection. Future state will include Business Unit, School/Division, Sub-Division, and Department.
