The following email was sent to student employees on Thursday, November 8 from Kelly Ratliff, Vice Chacellor of Finance, Operations and Administration.
We are dismayed that some of our student employees have not received their pay in a timely manner and agree this is unacceptable. Chancellor May has directed that all student employees be paid what is owed them immediately. We sincerely apologize for any hardship this has caused.
We are putting substantial resources towards resolving this and we are cutting checks twice daily to get affected student employees paid what they are owed as soon as possible. In addition, we are scheduling mass onboarding events to ensure our new student employees are cleared to work as quickly as possible.
If you are in need of emergency funds, you are encouraged to apply online for a UCPath Emergency Pay Advance. Financial Aid will expedite approval, generally the same day. You will be notified of approval by email and can go to the Cashier's Office in Dutton Hall to receive cash. Advances are up to $1,000, interest-free and are due on January 15.
Please notify your supervisor immediately and contact email@example.com if you haven't yet received your pay so that we can assist you. Please provide your full name, department and hours worked by day to make the process as efficient as possible.
