Manage Human Resources: New Option for Hiring in UCPath
Quick Summary
- Starting Nov. 25, 2024, the UCPath Manage Human Resources function will offer a new way to expedite the hiring process through direct entry. This function is available to select HR transactors designated by their service channels.
Manage Human Resources Overview
Manage Human Resources tile collection, will enable HR transactors to enter new hires directly into UCPath, with built-in local approval processes and more data validation to ensure accuracy. The new functionality allows HR transactors to:
- Create new employee records, including personal information, job details and employment terms.
- Create contingent employee records for non-employee workers, such as contractors.
- Add a new organizational relationship for existing employees or contingent workers who have a UCPath ID.
- Reduced lockout dates allow transactors to submit transactions throughout the month while approvers are only restricted by the applicable payroll cycle lockout periods.
HR templates are not being phased out at this time. All template transactions are still available and Manage Human Resources is an additional option for hiring transactions. UCPath has not finalized a retirement timeline for template transactions at this time.
Timeline
The November release goes live on November 25. Cutover will occur November 23-24. No system downtime is planned for this release, outside of regular maintenance. The current Hire Pilot functionality will be deactivated on November 22 as a part of implementation of direct entry and the Manage Human Resources tile.
